General specifications

The VAA-2*EA-G2-ZE/E2 is an AS-Interfacecoupling module with 2inputs and 2outputs.The inputs and outputs are available via a M12x1 socket. Mechanical contacts and 2-and 3-wire sensors can be connected to theinputs. The outputs are powered via theinternal sensor supply.The module is used to drive motors withdecentralised manufacturer of motor controllers (MOVIS-WITCH from SEW corporation). Each driverequires a 24V input and a 24V output.Connection to the sensors/actuators is pro- vided via M12x1 screw connections.The IP67 flat module features an integratedaddressing professional jack and is ideal for applicationsin the field. The current switching state ofeach channel is indicated by an LED locatedon the module's top side. The supply of theinputs and outputs is monitored for short cir-cuits. Similarly, an LED is provided to monitorthe AS-Interface communication and to indi- cate that the module has the address0. If anAS-Interface communication error occurs,the outputs are de-energised. The U-G3FF mounting base is used as astandard connection to the AS-Interface flatcable. The specially designed base enablesusers to connect flat cables from both sides.This means, for example, that 90° curves canbe laid with very tight radii (variable flat cableguide).
