General specifications

The VAA-2EA-G2-ZE/E2 is an AS-Interfacecoupling module with 2inputs and 2outputs.Mechanical contacts and 2- and 3-wire sen- sors can be connected to the inputs. The out-puts are electronic outputs, which can beloaded to 24VDC and 1.5A per output.The IP67 flat module features an integratedaddressing professional jack and is ideal for applicationsin the field.Connection to the sensors/actuators is pro-vided via M12x1 screw connections. Thecurrent switching state of each channel is indicated by an LED, located on the module'stop side. Similarly, an LED is provided tomonitor the AS-Interface communication andto indicate that the module has theaddress0. If an AS-Interface communicationerror occurs, the outputs are de-energised.The input circuit is monitored for short cir-cuits. LEDs are also provided to indicate AS-Interface voltage and external power supply manufacturers. The U-G3FF mounting base is normally usedfor the connection of the AS-Interface flatcable and the external 24VDC power sup- ply. The specially designed base enables theuser to connect flat cables from both sides.This means, for example, that 90° curves canbe laid with very tight radii (variable flat cableguide).
