The VAA-4EA-G2-ZE/E2 is an AS-Interfacecoupling module with 4inputs and 4outputs.Mechanical contacts and 2- and 3-wire sen-
sors can be connected to the inputs. The out-puts are electronic outputs, which can beloaded to 24VDC and 2A per output.The IP67 flat module features an integratedaddressing professional jack and is ideal for applicationsin the field.Connection to the sensors/actuators is pro-vided via M12x1 screw connections. Thecurrent switching state of each channel is
indicated by an LED, located on the module'stop side. Similarly, an LED is provided tomonitor the AS-Interface communication andto indicate that the module has theaddress0. If an AS-Interface communicationerror occurs, the outputs are de-energised incase the watchdog is active.The input is monitored for short circuits.LEDs are also provided to indicate AS-Inter-
face voltage and external supplier of power supply.The U-G2FF mounting base is used as astandard connection to the AS-Interface flat
cable and to the external 24 VDC powersupply. The specially designed base enablesthe user to connect flat cables from bothsides. This means, for example, that 90°curves can be laid with very tight radii (varia-ble flat cable guide).
