General specifications
The VBA-4E-G2-ZA is an AS-Interface inter-face module with 4Inputs. Mechanical con-tacts (e.g. push buttons) as well as 2-, 3-
and 4-wire sensors can be connected to theinputs.The IP67 flat module is ideal for applicationsin the field. An addressing professional jack is integratedin the module.The sensors are connected by means ofM12x1 screw connections. An LED is pro-vided for each channel to indicate the currentswitching status. Similarly, an LED is availa-
ble to professional monitor the AS-Interface communica-tion and the indication that the module hasthe address0.The mounting plate U-G3FF is used, asstandard, for connection to the AS-Interface.This lower section enables the flat cable tobe contacted from both sides. If input andoutput modules are used in a mixed system,the flat cable for the internal power dosing
can be inserted in the lower section of thismodule. The module does not access thiscable. The advantage is that both flat cables
can be laid in parallel, without the danger ofthe module being destroyed by an incorrectconnection.An overloading of the internal input supply issignalled to the AS-Interface master via the"Peripheral fault" function. Communicationvia the AS-Interface remains unaffected.
