General specifications

The VAA-4A-K3-R AS-Interface couplingmodule is a junction box module with 4relayoutputs. The design of this module makes it particularly suitable for operation within ajunction box. Its housing, only 39mm thick,occupies little space in an installation. TheVAA-4A-K3-R is installed by snapping it ontothe 35mm DIN rail per EN50022.Screw terminals are available for connectingthe outputs and the AS-Interface cable.These permit the connection of conductorsof up to 2.5mm

. Each output is switched viaa relay, which can be loaded to 24VDC and0.5A.The actuators connected to the module are supplied externally (see connection dia-gram). The module itself is supplied throughthe AS-Interface cable. The AS-Interfacesupply voltage is indicated by a green LED.The current switching state of each output isindicated by a yellow LED, located on theunit's front panel.Should there be an interruption to bus com-munications (e.g. failure of the master), the outputs maintain their current switch statuswhile power is supplied.For address configuration before or after installation, a programming professional jack is integratedinto the unit. It permits a connection to thehand-held programming device.
