General specifications

The VAA-4E-KF-ZE AS Interface couplingmodule is a professional cabinet module with 4 inputs.The design, only 20mm wide, occupies little space in a cabinet installation. The VAA-4E-KF-ZE is installed by snapping it onto the35mm DIN rail per EN50022, with the inte-grated Power Rail.When an AS-Interface master/gateway isused in the cabinet housing, the AS-Interfacesignal is automatically transmitted via thePower Rail. The connection of the module tothe AS-Interface cable is accomplished by simply snapping it onto the DIN rail.The plug-in coded terminals of the inputsallow "online" maintenance, i.e. while thesystem is under power. The terminals arecoded to prevent incorrect connections.If a master/gateway other than the one in thecabinet housing is used, the connection tothe AS-Interface cable is established via thesame terminals. Once the AS-Interface cable has been connected to the terminals, the AS-Interface signal is automatically transferredto the Power Rail. Power to the module is supplied by the AS-Interface cable and the outputs are poweredexternally (see connection diagram). A pro-gramming professional jack is available for address con-figuration.
