The sensor housing is a high strengthglass-filled engineering polymer thathas the added feature of stainlesssteel inserts around the mountingscrew area so preventing damageto the flange by over-tightening.This permits the sensor to be re-used after installation and allowsminute adjustments to be made. >
Cable outlet
The sensor rear housing has an integrally moulded cable that is fully sealed toIP68, effectively eliminating the need to over-fit a moulded boot to improve sealing,thus saving the user time and cost. To facilitate the addition of supplementaryheatshrink sleeving over the cable, a small lip in the moulding assists attachment atthe sensor housing. Cable length supplied is 0.5m. >
Choice of supply voltages
The STT280 can be ordered with a choice of two input supply voltage ranges, which arefactory set. ? The 5Vdc option will operate from a regulated supply in the range 4.75 to 5.25Vdc. The output is ratiometric and provides 80% of Vsupply over ±60°angle of tilt. ? The 8-30Vdc option will operate from an unregulated supply in the range 8.0 to 30.0Vdc. This version has an internal
voltage regulator and supplies an output that is absolute and 0.5 to 4.5Vdc over ±60°angle of tilt. >
