11. Press the MODE button to return to the inspection mode
12. Test the "OK Rectangle" and the "NG Rectangle" (see example illustrations sheet)
13. Write down the indicated [X] and [Y] coordinates
The intersecting lines are displayed in white. The calculated X/Y coordinate is at the point of intersection (see also Figure 18). Press the UP/DOWN buttons to see the X and the Y coordinate.
C. Set the TOLERANCE RANGE
There are four parameters in the tolerance range SET mode:
• [rEFX], [rEFY]: The reference values for the X and the Y coordinate were registered when you taught the position in step 3 of the "B. TEACHING" procedure. Therefore they cannot be changed.
• [PErX], [PErY]: You can change the allowed tolerance in X and in Y direction using the UP/DOWN buttons (see also Figure 16 and 17).
2. Check the results displayed on the operation unit and on the finder unit's screen
-X/Y edge direction
-X/Y value, measured in mm

Press the UP/DOWN buttons to set the tolerance values
Please take your specific tolerance values and X/Y coordinates from the example illustration sheet.
For the X/Y position to be within the tolerance range, the following conditions have to be fulfilled: [rEFX]-[PErX]<[X]<[rEFX]+[PErX]
AND
[rEFY]-[PErY]<[Y]<[rEFY]+[PErY]

D. Execute an INSPECTION
After having completed the tolerance range settings, an inspection is carried out automatically because the internal trigger [I.trr] is set to ON by default in the environmental configuration mode. In case the LightPix does not trigger automatically, you can trigger an inspection by pressing the TRIGGER button.
1. Check the status of OUT1
Place the "OK Rectangle" and the "NG Rectangle" under the main unit.
If OUT1 is set, the inspection result is "OK".
If OUT1 is not set, the measurements are not within the set tolerance ranges and the inspection result is "NG".
