Description
The OXPCIe200 is a single chip solution for PCI Express based high performance connectivity that provides outstanding performance, flexibility and features for highly differentiated end products. The OXPCIe200 provides a rich set of connectivity ports and advanced system management features, such as MSI/MSI-X interrupt handling and DMA, to maximise data throughput while substantially reducing CPU and system overheads.
A fully integrated, single lane PCI Express end-point controller and SerDes enables host system access to USB 2.0 host, SPI and SRAM ports plus an Oxford 950 UART and user defined GPIOs/PWMs. Configurable as either dual USB 2.0 host ports or one USB 2.0 host port and one SPI or SRAM port, the device provides a high throughput communication path from a PCI Express host system to a slave processor or peripherals. With low operating power, comprehensive power management support, compact footprint and the reassurance of industrial temperature range, the OXPCIe200 is also the ideal choice for power and temperature sensitive ExpressCard and Mini CARD applications.
The device can be configured at power-up using an external EEPROM to take advantage of a range of possible device and in-system customisations that are easily defined and programmed using Oxide, Oxford's graphical development tool.
The USB host ports are compatible with standard operating system USB stacks while the UART and GPIO ports are supported by dedicated Oxford device drivers that cover a broad range of operating systems including Windows Vista/XP/2K/CE & Linux, are quality assured through exhaustive testing and are WHQL approved.
