| The NEW VACUUM feature of Oxford Instruments; X-MET3000TXV+ makes possible the measurement of all the important light metals, such as aluminum and titanium alloys. Traditional, portable XRF has not been able to measure all the elements in aluminum alloys due to the low energy of the X-rays from magnesium, aluminum and silicon. It has had to rely on the heavy elements in order to make the correct identification. The measurement of aluminum in titanium alloys, an important alloying element has not, until now, been possible. |
