Lock and Safe Inspection Lock and Safe InspectionThe use of rigid borescopes to inspect locks of all types is acommon procedure for skilled locksmiths and safe engineers. Viewing the internal mechanism of the lock provides valuable information to assist them in opening a lock or identifying a fault. There are many types and ranges of locks in the world but themajority of systems are based on lever, pin tumbler or disc mechanisms.Olympus Industrial has standard and special instrumentsavailable to obtain views inside the locks. To gain access to safe locks a 6mm rigid borescope can beused after drilling into the safe casing and door from the top, side or back.Images can be viewed by eye or on a monitor screen via aCCTV camera connected to the instrument. Security forces need visual intelligence. To gain thisinformation a small diameter lens system, or fiberscope can be inserted through a hole into the area under observation. Images are provided directly into the eye or on a monitor or a head-up display. If covert images inside a darkened room are required, theInfrared Telescopic CCTV System is available, using invisible infrared illumination. It provides high resolution black and white images on a miniature CRT screen or head mounted display and is powered by an internal rechargeable battery.RECOMMENDED SYSTEMS INSPECTION AREA RECOMMENDED SYSTEMS REMARKSPin tumbler and disc locks Picking Scope Lightweight, portable instrument provides highresolution images Lever locks CCD Miniborescope Compact, fully self-contained inspection system Safe locks Series 5 Borescope - 6mm diameter Series 5 Swing-prism Borescope - 6mm diameter Versatile, high resolution imagingCovert Surveillance Covert SurveillanceRECOMMENDED SYSTEMS INSPECTION AREA RECOMMENDED SYSTEMS REMARKSUnder doors Small Diameter Fiberscope Aflexible instrument which allows access via small gaps under doors Loft or ceiling voids Infrared Telescopic CCTV System Observation in completely dark areas using a monitor or head-up display Through walls/door locks Small Diameter Borescope Access areas via an entry port as small as 0.9mmSecurity Products9 |
