Rigid borescopes are well accepted as an effective means ofinspecting door and vehicle locks. For smaller locks, a range ofspecial instruments are available.

CCD MINIBORESCOPE

Acompact product incorporating an optical probe and CCD camera, the CCD mini borescope is designed specifically for the internal viewing of lever locks. The lateral viewing high quality 2.7mm diameter Selfoc lens system is integrated with acolour CCTV camera and miniature light source.Power and video signals are supplied to the system by asingle cable, terminating in a distribution box for the 12 volts DCsupply and connection of the composite video output to aface mounted display, CRT monitor or LCD.Images can be recorded in digital format in moving or singleframe for record or assessment purposes using standard digital recorders and the Olympus IPLEX Manager Software.

SDB PICKING SCOPE

Acompact and robust miniborescope system for the internal inspection of many types of disc and pin tumbler locks. This instrument incorporates a high quality fiber-conduit optical system, fiberoptic illumination and miniature battery light source.Introduction of the probe into the lock barrel is made easy byuse of a spring loaded locating device that also protects the insertion tube when not in use. Other versions are available to suit different locks.The standard 32mm Olympus borescope eyepiece enablesattachment of 35mm, digital and CCTV cameras for capturing and storing images. The Olympus IPLEX Manager Software is available and allows storage of digital images, file management, reports and e-mail transmission.

The SDB range of small diameter borescopes, with 0.9, 1.2, 1.7 and 2.5mm diameters and lateral, forward and oblique directions of view, are also suitable for general lock inspection. See page 17 for full specifications.
