Autoclave. Wood treatment plants. - OLMAR - #1

Impregnations and treatments for the preservation of wood appear as an alternative to other classic methods which, due to their lower penetration in the inner part of the product, have fallen into desuse, such as superficial finishes, external protective products, water repellents and also fireproof ones. Today, treatment in OLMAR autoclaves, through pre-established vacuum and pressurization cycles, make impregnating substances reach the interior of the wood, obtaining and integral treatment of the piece put inside the autoclaves and

thus, a final result which will lengthen the life of the piece of wood in a clear and evident way.

The interest for this kind of product has even made the European Union take decision in this field. Particularly, the European Normalization Committee has worked out several guidelines to regulate the treatment of wood and impregnating substances, which are going to be used in these processes.
