It is engineered to provide protection from electric arc hazards. ProteraTM is inherently FR. This means that the FR protection won’t wash or wear away. The fabric is durable and comfortable and meets NFPA 70E requirements. The front closure, the cuff and ankle closures are equipped with hook and loop straps to provide additional protection. The Faceshield window is manufactured with Oberon’s proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing polycarbonate material. The Faceshield window of the LCI2 offers a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 64%. The shield’s outer surface is available with Oberon’s proprietary material Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating, for longer product life, and the inner surface is available with a permanent antifog coating, for increased visibility. They will remain Flame Resistant after years of frequent and repeated laundering. LCI2 is also light weight. The outer surface of the shield window is scratch resistant coated to last longer.
