The front closure, the cuff and ankle closures are equipped with hook and loop straps to provide additional protection. The Faceshield window is manufactured with Oberon’s proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing polycarbonate material. It offers a Visible Light Transmission (VLT) of 62%. The shield’s outer surface comes with Oberon’s proprietary material Silicote™-1 scratch resistantcoating, for longer product life, and the inner surface has a permanent antifog coating, for increased visibility. Standards Compliance: NFPA 70E, ANSI Z87 and ASTM F1506-02a The CAT2 is available in two systems: 1) Shield with slotted Hard Cap+Coat+Bib Overall and 2) Shield with slotted Hard Cap+Coverall. Ideal economical “limited wear” solutions for a company that does not anticipate using the garments frequently (like an electrical contractor). Coveralls feature Flame Retardant Treated (FRT) hook and loop Front, cuff and ankle closures for additional protection. Every lineman, electrical contractor, industrial electrician and thermographer, working in the proximity of an energized circuit, is at risk of severe burns or death. Every day in the USA, there are approximately 10 Arc Flash incidents and up to 3 fatalities. An Arc Flash can cause 3rd degree burns in a fraction of a second.
