When a customer asked for an affordable, efficient way of protecting fastener threads from weld spatter and electrodeposited points, Nylok engineers answered with NYCOTE.
The NYCOTE coating is a revolutionary masking process in which a white non-conductive 98% pure Teflon® PFA powder is applied to fasteners to form a protective coating. The coating prevents the adhésion of electrodeposited points, primers and coatings. NYCOTE also protects against weld spatter, adds lubricity to fasteners and reduces torque vs. tension scatter.
