Honing Honing is a kind of precision finishing on cylindrical inner surface. It improves roundness, straightness and surface roughness. | FEATURES: This stone is a New Type of Super Finishing & Honing Stone which has a number of significant advantages over stones previously used. Super Finishing & Honing Stones have very small cutting edges, sometimes as small as a few hundred microns, and the operation is dependant upon self-sharpening of the cutting edges. NORITAKE had developed a unique stone which had pores several hundred times larger than its grit size. These large pores hold pools of honing fluid which flows directly onto the cutting edges. This feature virtually eliminates the risk of stone loading resulting in a significant increase in cutting efficiency and it maintains a stable self-sharpening action.
