NORD AC Motors
The motors of the IEC AC motor modules are fan-cooled 4-pole squirrel cage rotor motors with a three phase design. Theyare suitable for mains operation as well as for inverter operation. The AC motors have standard IEC-B14 flanges.
Upon request, B5 flange, single phase motors, 2, 6, 8-pole motors, pole-changing motors, integrated rotaryencoder, forced cooling fan, ATEX and CUS/UL conforming motors and others are also available. Please request the motor catalogue M7000.
Motors that fall under the specifcation area of CEMEP agreement fulfill efficiencyclass EFF2. The following standards are used by NORD AC motors.

There are also motors of the IEC AC motor module with brakes. The brake motors are marked with the symbol £T} in the selection list and in the dimension section. The NORD brake motors are NORD AC motors with integrated electromagnetic spring force brakes. The brake release is performed bythe DC electromagnets, and in case there is power failure because of the pressure springs, the application of the brakes is carried out. The ring setting gauge enables a stepless reduction of the braking torque of up to 50%.
The standard brake coil current is 205V and 180V DC. Consequently, the built-in rectifier in the terminal box allows the brake to connect to the AC motor power supply A230V/Y400V AC or A400V/Y690V AC.
Upon request, other coil voltages, other brake torques, higher enclosures, dust protection rings, stainless steel friction plates, manual release levers and other options are available. Please request the motor catalogue M7000.
