Innovative Water Technologies Potable Water PumpsCompact Water Systems Large-scale Water SystemsClean Water for the World Point-of-Use / Point-of-Entry Seawater Pre-treatment Pumps for Water TransportToday, Norit purifies more than 15 million m3 of water per day, enough for the daily consumption of more than half a billion people or 8 percent of the world’s population. Norit is always in the lead when it comes to finding and applying innovative, affordable solutions to the world’s water challenges, which range from flood control to large scale desalination and wastewater treatment applications to compact water purification solutions. By putting a firm emphasis on research and development we help make water usable for those who need it. Developing and deploying high standard purification technologies allow us to find the optimum balance between environmental, health, safety, and economic requirements and work towards a sustainable future. The Norit H 2 OK range is a complete line of highperformance purifiers, filters, conditioners, softeners, and sanitizers. We offer tailored solutions with customized branding and specialized fittings to meet customers’ specific needs. Good pre-treatment is of major importance for successful operation of seawater reverse osmosis plants. Norit X-Flow is the only company that offers an ultrafiltration membrane specifically developed for seawater pre-treatment. With its specialized membrane geometry and characteristics, SEAGUARD offers the highest quality SWRO feed water. This guarantees years of trouble-free desalination at the lowest cost possible. The availability of potable water and the protection against water is vitally important for every individual and company. However, this is not a guarantee everywhere on earth. In many areas nature needs a helping hand. This is where the pumps of Norit Nijhuis fulfill an important role: water transport from wet to dry areas, protection against floods, and in the process of “polluted to clean” and “salt to fresh” water. Norit Nijhuis provides high-tech water management for delivery to humans and industries throughout the world, tailor-made to customer’s requirements. The LineGuard systems produce safe, purified water in applications where high flow rates, long service life and compact design are critical. At the core of the LineGuard lies the reliable and state-of-the-art Norit X-Flow ultrafiltration membrane module. The system works on waterline pressure and has a built-in controller for automatic cleaning cycles. The LineGuard Ultrafiltration (UF) module reduces waterborne pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, cysts, and protozoa as well as sediment and turbidity from water at extremely high flow rates. With an activated carbon module taste and odor are improved and a broad spectrum of chemical residues reduced. Ultrafiltration TechnologyThe Norit X-Flow SXL membrane, which combines low TMP and high integrity performance, is the best solution availble in the market. The SXL membrane elements can either be installed horizontally (XIGA™) or vertically (Aquaflex). These configurations provide the most flexible solutions for numerous water qualities and/or capacities, ensuring high-quality water against the lowest operating costs and longest service life. Water is, more than ever, one of the most valuable commodities on earth. Clean water can turn desolation into hope, especially in areas where the water supply is compromised by structural pollution or sudden disaster. Each year, the world’s population is growing by about 90 million to an estimated 8.5 billion by 2025. Only a very small percentage of the world’s total water, about 0.01 percent, is easily available for human use. Even this tiny amount would be sufficient to meet the world’s need if only it was distributed evenly. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The availability of water is declining and more than 2.6 billion people around the globe do not have access to safe potable water.Purification Technologies Perfector-E Ultrafiltration SkidsNorit’s experience in water purification around the world has led to a balanced and tailor-made series of activated carbon and membrane types. • Activated carbon adsorbs large quantities of organic pollutants from water, due to its vast surface area and specific surface chemistry. • Hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes screen turbidity, bacteria, viruses, and suspended solids. The Perfector-E, designed as a decentralized compact plug & play unit for instant safe potable water production, is especially useful in areas were good quality drinking water is urgently needed. It combines Norit membranes, pumps, engineering, automation, and assembly. The Norit ultrafiltration skid is a modular filtration unit with 4 to 80 membrane housings, holding 16 to 320 modules. The construction materials allow operation in brackish water or seawater. These skids can be configured either as stand alone UF units or combined into large scale filtration plants. Skid connections and other ancillaries can be standardized or designed to meet the customer’s requirments. The standardized units provide the perfect solution for green fields and/or upgrades of existing treatment plants. |
