To guarantee safety every time, Norit products have hollow fi ber membranes, with billions of microscopic pores small enough to retain viruses, but large enough to allow vital minerals through. Our membrane cartridges offer unique FailSafe protection, which ensures the fi lter will block towards the expiry date. Continuous heating of water can cause build up of insoluble carbonates (lime scale) in cooler and vending machines, resulting in high energy consumption and poorly functioning equipment. Ion exchange is the most effective way to treat temporary hardness of water. It replaces insoluble carbonates with sodium ions, resulting in less scaling of machines and a better taste. All cartridges are also available in standard 10” size, the worldwide standard in POU cartridge housings. The point-of-entry LineGuard systems produce safe, purifi ed water in applications where high fl ow rates, long service life and compact design are essential. The core of the LineGuard is its reliable and state-of-the-art X-Flow ultrafi ltration membrane module, which strongly reduces waterborne pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, cysts and protozoa as well as sediment and turbidity in the water at extremely high fl ow rates. The LineGuard can be used in the hospitality and healthcare industry to guarantee safe and fi rst-class water for washing, drinking and food preparation. The membrane fi ltration module can be combined with an activated carbon module to reduce a broad spectrum of chemical residues including pesticides, endocrine disrupting compounds, medical residues and heavy metals such as lead and copper. It also eliminates bad tastes and odours from contaminants such as chlorine and sulphur.The LineGuard Double UF/AC can be applied as a whole house fi ltration system. It is extremely suited to produce bacteriologically safe water from water wells in remote areas.
