LIBS-ELITEL aser I nduced B reakdown S pectroscopy SystemThe LIBS-ELITE System features:New Wave Research’s High Energy Nd:YAG laser With optimized energy densities, the LIBS-ELITE system can effectively ablate many kinds of materials including glass, steel, noble metals, plastics, ceramics and biological matrices. The system’s software controls all laser parameters including power attenuation and ablation spot size. Ocean Optics’ State-of-the-Art High Resolution Spectrometers The spectrometer uses seven linear CCD-array detectors for broadband analysis. All spectrometers are triggered to acquire and read out data simultaneously. Open architecture easy to use sample chamber The sample chamber features an easy to use quick loading sample drawer, which can accommodate samples up to 2 inches in diameter. Also included is an integrated rotometer allowing for purging as needed of the sample chamber with inert gases. Intuitive Software for sample positioning and imaging The system’s software package controls sample viewing and stage positioning and has many unique features to control target location, create reproducible maps, and automate sample mapping, patterning, and rastering. The system includes a high-magnification video system, micron precision X-Y stages, manual Z focus, and ring light illumination.LIBS-ELITEIntegrated Spectral Library The LIBS-ELITE system comes with a library of elemental emission lines, which allows for the automatic identification of elements present in samples.New Wave™ Research introduces the LIBS-ELITE system co-developed by New Wave Research and Ocean Optics.
