New Source Technology offers safety eyewear for Laser and Electro-Optics applications. Our product line includes protection for coherent and non-coherent energy in most frequency ranges and meets US and international laser safety standards. Our Laser Eyewear offers high optical densities, excellent visibility and high levels of protection by utilizing narrowband absorptive dyes, and all products are third-party tested and certified. Several filters have been tested and certified for femtosecond and high power pulses.

New Source Technology's comfortable and good-looking eyewear encourages users to wear their glasses when necessary. Our eyewear is available in a wide variety of lightweight, attractive styles that enable users to work in complete safety.

• Personnel within the laser-controlled area should be provided with appropriate laser protective eyewear.

• Laser Work Area should be supervised directly by an individual knowledgeable in laser safety.

• Laser Work Area should require approved entry of any non-involved personnel.

• Terminate all potentially hazardous laser beams with a mechanical beam shutter during laser maintenance.

• Use diffusely reflecting materials near the beam, where appropriate.

• Secure and locate the laser such that the beam path is above or below eye level in any standing or seated position.

• Have all windows, doorways, open portals...etc. from an indoor facility covered or restricted so-as-to reduce transmitted beams below appropriate ocular levels

• Require storage or disabling of lasers when not in use.
