Specific heat accuracy ofalumina (Al
2 O
3 )
Presented in the figure is a specificheat test result for a polycrystallinealumina sample between room tem-
perature and 1600°C. Additionallyshown are literature values for purealumina. It can clearly be seen thatthere are no significant differencesbetween the literature values andthe test results. The maximum devia-tions are in the range of 2%, whichdemonstrates the outstanding per-formance of the DSC 404 F1 Pegasus >

Reproducibility of a diopsideglass powder
Presented here are two measure-ment results for diopside glass pow-der. The glass transition occurredbetween 723°C and 745°C.Crystallization was measured at
883°C (onset temperature). Meltingtook place at 1390°C (main peaktemperature). The characteristictemperatures and the correspondingenthalpy changes are in good agree-
ment between the two differentsamples. Furthermore, the specificheat itself doesn’t show relevantdifferences. This indicates the ex-cellent stability and reproducibility of
the DSC 404 F1 Pegasus >
