Change without prior notice, version 2.1 Nedap N.V. P.O. Box 103 NL-7140 AC Groenlo RFID antennas The Nedap RFID-antennas can operate with a wide range of RFIDtags (Nedap 120 kHz and 125 kHz EM4102) and are applicable for many different industrial applications. Key features Dynamic identification Industrial design Long detection ranges High chemical resistance and Also detection of EM tags Connected to a Nedap reader the required energy for the identification of passive RFID-tags is transmitted by the antenna and simultaneously the tagcode is received. The Nedap reader communicates through inductive coupling of its RFID antenna with the tag. Due to the passive identification technology the tags don t need a battery. The tags are energized by the emitted electromagnetic energy supplied by the antenna connected to the reader. Dynamic identification Due to the applied Full Duplex principle (FDX-B) the actual identification cycle only takes a blink and allows, dynamic identification with the standard antenna range. Combined with tailor-made single-coil antennas even higher speeds are within reach, however an additional EW120 transformer unit is required. For more information see application note single-coil antennas. Long detection ranges Depending on the application and required detection range a specific antenna can be selected. Configurations with detection ranges up to 0,5 m [1.64 ft] are realisable. With the synchronisation feature the distances between two antenna s can be, depending on antenna size, decreased to a minimum. Industrial design & chemical resistance The antennas are IP65 protected and designed to withstand moisture, dirt and rough handling in order to operate, for a long period of time, in industrial environments. They are also characterised by high chemical resistance. The antennas are applied in many different industries facing harsh environmental conditions (e.g. slaughterhouses). Easy installation Due to the included antenna cable and prepared fixing holes, installation is easy to achieve. Combined with an AB320 adjustment box the cable length, between reader and antenna, can be expanded to 55 meters [60.17 yds]. Also detection of EM tags The NEDAP industrial antennas can detect 120 kHz Nedap tags and 125 kHz EM 4102 based or compatible tags, offering you a freedom in tag selection, in combination with the reliable identification of the Nedap
