GIII-CM
The GIII-CM is a power full RFID
reader with integrated antenna
offering time efficient installation
and suitable for outdoor
applications.
Key features
Weatherproof protected housing
Sensor input & relay output
Integrated antenna
Integrated RS232 interface
Open industry interfaces
Identification of NEDAP & EM
transponders
Easy installation
Weatherproof protected housing
The GIII-CM reader has a compact
weatherproof (IP65) protected housing
suitable for outdoor use. Invulnerability
to environmental disturbances is
warranted due to the equipment s
industrial design. The GIII-CM s design
is in accordance with the CE and EMC
regulations.
Integrated I/O for sensor input and
relay output
Participation in several standardised
industrial sensor and actor networks is
also one of the reader s unique features.
The sensor input (also called No-read
input) is available to indicate a no-read
situation. This input can also be applied
for general purposes or event
synchronisation.
The GIII-CM has a relay output and an
optocoupler output. These outputs are
activated when a valid tag is identified.
The outputs are deactivated when no tag
is identified and the relay time has
elapsed. Relay hold times can be set.
Optional the free programmable cross
table feature for output control is
supported. In this way the reader can
Integrated antenna
The reader has an integrated antenna
enabling quick and easy installation of the
unit in any application. Additionally the
GIII-CM has the possibility for one parallel
connection of a second antenna to the
reader.
Integrated RS232 interface and
optional interfaces open for common
industry systems
Communication to the host system e.g. a
PC or PLC can be accomplished by all
common interfaces. Standard the RS232
interface is integrated for host
communication. Optional a
communication board can be placed to
support other interfaces like RS422,
Profibus DP, TCP/IP (Ethernet) and
Multidrop. In a Multidrop Master/Slave
network up to 15 GIII-CM slaves can be
connected. As slave the GIII-CM can be
applied, however as master a Supergis III
is required.
Identification
The GIII-CM is able to identify all 120 kHz
NEDAP and 125 kHz EM 4102 based or
compatible transponders, offering you
freedom in transponder selection in
combination with the reliability of the GIIICM
reader.
