GIII-C
The GIII-C is a powerful RFID
reader suitable for industrial
applications where 120 kHz Nedap
and 125 kHz EM 4102 based
transponders should be identified.
Key benefits
Compact industrial design
Excellent performance
Parallel antenna connection
Integrated sensor input & relay
output
Integrated RS232 interface
Open industry interfaces
Identification of NEDAP and EM
transponders
Easy installation
Compact industrial design
The GIII-C reader has a compact design.
Invulnerability to environmental
disturbances is warranted due to the
equipment s industrial design. The GIIIC
s design is in accordance with the CE
and EMC regulations.
Excellent performance
The GIII-C is characterised by an
excellent reading performance in
combination with NEDAP RFID antennas.
The GIII-C has the possibility for
two
parallel antenna connections to the
reader.
Integrated I/O for sensor input and
relay output
Participation in several standardised
industrial sensor and actor networks is
one of the reader s unique features. The
sensor input (also called No-read input) is
available to indicate a no-read situation.
This input can also be applied for general
purposes or event synchronisation. The
GIII-C has a relay output and an
optocoupler output. The outputs are
deactivated when no tag is identified and
Optional the free programmable cross
table
feature for output control is
supported. In this way the reader can
operate stand-alone and on-line
communication with the host system is
not required.
Integrated RS232 interface and
optional open industry interfaces
Communication to the host system e.g. a
PC or PLC can be accomplished by all
common interfaces. Standard the RS232
interface is integrated for host
communication. Optional a
communication board can be placed to
support other interfaces like RS422,
Profibus DP, TCP/IP (Ethernet) and
Multidrop. In a Multidrop Master/Slave
network up to 15 GIII-C slaves can be
connected. As slave the GIII-C can be
applied, however as master a Supergis III
is required.
Identification
The GIII-C is able to identify all 120 kHz
NEDAP and 125 kHz EM 4102 based or
compatible transponders offering you
freedom in tag selection, in combination
with the reliable identification of the
Nedap reader and antenna equipment.
Easy installation
The GIII has a housing suited for
mounting on industrial rail into a central
enclosure. Furthermore the reader can
also be mounted by using the chassis
mounting holes. The connectors offer
quick and easy installation.
