FS110
The Nedap field strength indicator
(FS110) can be used to detect the
field strength of the detection
antenna. The field strength
indicator can be used to adjust the
RFID antenna.
The Nedap FS110 is designed to
measure the field strength of the RFID
detection antenna. The FS110 can be
applied to measure the field strength
and based on this information to adjust
the antenna when no standard
antenna adjustment is available or
sufficient. This is the case in
applications where readers are
mounted centrally and the AB320 is
applied to extend the cabling distance
between reader and antenna.
Furthermore the FS110 can also be
applied when customised single-coil
antennas are used.
The antenna can be adjusted based on
the maximum field strength indicated
on the FS110. In this way detection
range of the antenna will be optimal.
The FS110 needs no battery or any
other means of power supply. It draws
its energy form the radiated filed of the
antenna. The FS110 is suitable for 120
kHz systems.
Remarks
The FS110 is only an indicator for
the field strength and not an
indication for the detection
distance. Disturbance of the card
signal cannot been measured.
If the needle of the FS110 alters
(FS110 not moved) there can be
also another antenna in the
neighbourhood which interference
with the actual antenna. (Can be
solved by synchronisation of both
antennas).
