International System of Units
Int
Excerpts from JIS Z 8203
1. Scope of application This standard specifies how to use the International System of Units (SI) and other international unitary systems, as
well as units used in correlation with units from international systems, and other units which may be used.
2. Normative Reference The following standards have been prescribed by SI. They adhere to the latest revisions of International System of
Units.
IEC 27-1:1971 Letter symbols to be used in electrical technology-Parti :General
3. SI Units The name The International System of Units and its official abbreviation SI were adopted at the 11th General
Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) in 1960"
This system of measurements consists of the following units, it is a system of consistency.
- Base Units
- Derived Units
3.1 Base Units The International System of Units is based on the 7 base units indicated in table 1.
