The mid-scale reading (5 mW/cm2) of the single 0 to 10 mW/cm2 range corresponds to the allowable limit for ovens used in the United States, Canada, and most of Europe. The 8217 is extremely easy to use. Its detection circuitry uses a patented spiral antenna design. It comes complete with a beaker and thermometer to measure the output power of the oven in addition to its leakage. The meter, beaker, thermometer, and manual store in a rugged, foam-lined carrying case.
