The profiles are cleaned with steam in a closed cleaning system. The MTM-Destimat produces 2-5 bar water steam from tap water, which is then aimed by a jet directly onto the preheated surface of the passing profile.

The drawing oil i= cleaned off the entire surface.

The oil is collect sd as it runs off and then sepa­rated out.

Now, MTM has delivered a compact, high performance throughput cleaning system for stainless steel profiles.

A market leader in sun screening technology (lamellae, blinds, etc.) needs a throughput system for stainless steel profiles.

These profil is are closed and folded sections made of stai nless steel sheets. The sheet metal is rolled off by a coil and then profiled.

Reliability in continuous operation

The MTM system runs in a three-shift operation (6 workdays a week).

The cleaning problem

The sections are covered with drawing oil, because of the profiling p rocess by the metal band coil. They must be cleane' immediately afterwards in the run.

The throughput quantity is dependent on the profiling speed and is about 20 metres per minute.

The section (Wx H = 5x4 mm) must be spotless as well as dry on tl e inside and outside.

After the cleanii g the sections are cut and packaged for shipping.
