atasheet Pro-Vision® Provisioning and M MRV's Pro-Vision® is a Carrier-grade point & click EMS, NMS and Service Provisioning platform that offers Service Providers a wide range of applications and tools to fully manage and control large-scale Carrier Ethernet networks. Pro-Vision provides a complete user friendly GUI to manage and control end-to-end Ethernet Service traffic, offers carrier-grade SLA metrics, and provides effective troubleshooting and resiliency. The system supports full FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, Security) industry standards to ensure simplified interoperability with Operation Support Systems (OSS) of Service Providers, Equipment Vendors and 3rd party Network Management Systems (NMS) through northbound protocols, such as SNMP, CORBA, HTTP and XML. Features • Effective Service Level Management: Rapid Service Creation is one of the most important issues for Service Providers offering Carrier Ethernet services. Pro-Vision allows new bandwidth profiles, performance monitoring and other network management tasks to be performed from an easy to use, centrally located network management application. • Powerful performance monitoring and health checking: Ensuring that proper network performance levels are met enables reconciliation of Service Level Agreement (SLAs) as well as providing a powerful tool for planning and performing network engineering tasks. Pro-Vision provides real-time reporting on various service and network performance metrics, enabling network engineers and managers to monitor, adjust and configure end to end Ethernet services. Trend analysis can be performed using real-time and historical reporting which can be exported to various formats. • Proactive Fault Management: In order to keep the network running at an optimum level and minimize downtime, Pro-Vision provides effective tools for detecting, isolating and resolving problems. Pro-Vision's fault management module includes per-service and end-to-end fault detection tools. It offers comprehensive event/trap processing, including flexible, user-defined filtering, alarm suppression and propagation with intelligent correlation. Alarm drill down can be categorized by severity, managed resource type, time of day, etc. • Advanced Security: Large Service Providers networks are often managed by a number of different organizations, each with varying levels of access and control. Pro-Vision provides flexible multi user security levels which enable the administrator to control specific operations, views, maps and logs that can be accessed by individual users, further reducing the risk of misconfiguration. The system features an Internal or external Authentication via LDAP/LDAPS combined with a detailed audit trails that keep track of users activities. • Site Maintenance: Managing access devices across a Service providers network can become a daunting task as the number of devices and/or geographic locations continues to grow. Service upgrades, configuration changes, addition of new customers and services, along with software upgrades all add a high level of maintenance overhead to keep networks at peak availability and performance. Pro-Vision provides the ability to upgrade configurations and software remotely manually and on a scheduled manner across multiple devices simultaneously. In addition, Pro-Vision® supports automatic device turn-up process for access devices, with zero-touch configuration, to significantly reduce the Operator's TCO. • Carrier Class Scalability and Availability: Pro-Vision is a future-roof scalable client-server architecture. Distributed, multi-tier architecture including redundant front-end servers and polling devices support large-scale installations with numerous devices and users. A redundancy option is available for Pro-Vision which includes database replication further enhancing uptime and reliability over a number of failure scenarios including hardware and operating systems failures. • Native OSS integration: As an integral part of the Service Prviders' OSS, Pro-Vision supports an open Northbound interface for interconnection to OSS Systems. Northbound interconnection is achieved via SNMP, CORBA and SOAP/XML* protocols enabling the OSS systems to retrieve valuable information such as alarms, performance monitoring results, devices inventory etc. re which solution best fits your needs?
