Moritex Corporation was first established in 1973 as a supplier of UV resins, fibre optics and aspheric lenses. During the 1970’s many partnerships were established across Europe and the USA. Worldwide sales flourished and the first factory was opened in 1979.The 1980’s saw further developments. Various new factories and sales offices opened in Japan. This period also saw the opening of Moritex USA and Moritex Europe Ltd.The Scopeman range of video microscopes was launched in 1987.Moritex now have a vast range of products that have developed from the original core business of fibre optics.A large range of fibre optic light guide cables compliments our Halogen & UV light sources. Additional Machine Vision components include our Machine Micro Lenses and CCTV lenses. These lenses are used in component recognition, automated visual inspection, alignment for wire-bonding machines, pick & place machines, plus many security and visualisation requirements.Visualisation developed with the Scopeman range of video Microscopes, both bench mounted and handheld systems. Most recent additions have been the low cost Industrial Endoscopes, both flexible & rigid, plus developed at Moritex Europe, the Palmscope Video Image Capture Device. During 2004 the Palmscope will be available in various different OEM formats. Growth continued into the 1990’s, further expansion of factories and sales offices in Japan, plus the arrival of the Bio-Science Technology division. An additional sales office was opened in Sweden as a satellite to Moritex Europe Ltd. Moritex Europe Ltd also achieved ISO-9001 qualification during 1998.As the new Millennium arrived, manufacturing capabilities in China expanded, along with the opening of Moritex Hong Kong. Our factory sites in Japan also achieved ISO-9001 in 2000. One more specialised division has progressed with video Microscopes, Skin & Hair counselling, both video and USB camera systems, all handheld microscopes. Additional accessories include simple to use Moisture and Sebum sensors.
