D6 MaterialSupport / Substrate Materials D9 MaterialThis is a low permittivity material that is used predominantly for supports for dielectric resonators however it can be used effectively for substrate applications and also for GPS patch antenna applications. The material is available in various forms, either asa solid disc or as a cylindrical support. This material is mainly recommended for use as a support in applications where the frequency ranges from 3 GHz to 20 GHz. A high purity (99.5%) Alumina ceramic material ideal fordemanding low loss applications, such as Base Station Filters. This material has a relatively lowεr , which will haveminimal interference with the fundamental resonant frequency of the resonator. This material also has a high thermal conductivity for a ceramic material allowing thermal energy to be dissipated from within the cavity. These combined properties, together with goodelectrical loss performance, offer a material which is ideally suited for resonator supports. Supports in D9 material are typically used with resonators at frequencies from 850 MHz to 3 GHzεr = 6.5±0.5Tanδ= 0.002εr = 9.8±0.5Tanδ= 0.0001Thermal Conductivity = 25.6 Wm-1 K -1 6 |
