STANDARD Series Dual Disc Brakes

STANDARD Series dual disc brakes are the basis for every tension control brake design over the past thirtyyears. These are the original Montalvo Brakes, manufactured since 1970. Development and marketing of this dual disc, high thermal capacity design virtually eliminated the need for water cooled brake systems in paper and converting applications. The release of the STANDARD Series also offered the first multiple range design. This effectively put an end to traditional “piggy-back” configurations of brakes which were used to establish torque ranges broad enough to meet day to day converting application requirements. The series quickly became the “standard” for tension control. Offered in a wide range of sizes, STANDARD Series brakes feature interchangeable spare parts, easy maintenance and top-flight after sales service.
