Precise Control of the Seam Sealing Process

The PrecisionSeal 1000 Parallel Seam Sealing Systemsuse advanced technology to achieve high process yields though excellent control of the process parameters. Energy, position, timing, and force are all precisely controlledto hermetically seal even very small and delicatepackages with the minimum heat input into the part. The PrecisionSeal 1000 is available in either the Model 15version for inline applications or the Model 12 version for single station applications. Both versions can be easily incorporated into an atmospheric enclosure to provide an integrated glovebox sealing system.
•Flexible and easy-to-use Windows NT based software enable operators to quicklysetup for a wide range of package geometries •Servo driven electrodes and high resolution motors and encoders provide weldpulse positioning based not upon timing,but on the desired location of weld•Advanced Inverter Welding power supply achieves closed loop control of weld energywith 0.1 millisecond resolution off pulse duration•The flexible Z-stage and optional SMEMA compatible conveyor system provide forinstallation in automated inline applications•Welding speeds up to 1.5 inches per second (3.8 cm per second) •Programmable force is hysteresis-free and precisely controlled independently foreach industrial electrode with the advanced voice coil feature•Servo-controlled Z-stage adapts to a variety of package heights,simplifying thetooling requirements and eliminating need for special nests and fixtures•Process inhibit I/O enable integration with glovebox or other process equipment
