Automatic transitions of cross-slope and height3D-MC Three Dimensional Machine Control Can bus

Byadding a distance meter to the system, youcan let the MikroGrader control transitions of cross-slope and height automatically. The start section, interval and data for cross-slope and height are easily stored in the control box.The MikroGrader is developed to work witha3D-MC Total Station or GPS based system. When using a 3D-MC system, you upload a3D plan of the construction site on to your computer. On this 3D plan you can set any curving contours required for your grading work. The digital information about your con-struction site is then transmitted to the MikroGrader and forms the basis of both grade and blade elevation. This means that you do not have to worry about following any reference lines or setting any cross slope. By using a 3D-MC system, both your pro-ductivity and accuracy will be increased considerably. Your waste of material will be reduced, asyou can work with a very small margin. Your survey costs are reduced, as you haveall the information needed on the 3D plan. Since you use the design data directly fromthe construction site plan, you make fewer mistakes, which means that your time and costs for corrections are reduced consider- ably.The 3D-MC system is integrated by usingthe Interface BoxUCB 1.

All the connections on the MikroGraderSytem are made using a CAN bus based system. This means that all units are connec- ted end to end, which reduces the length of cable considerably. The CAN bus based system was invented byBOSCH in 1988 and is widely used for auto-motive systems. By using the CAN bus based system, there is practically no limit to the number of units that can be connected to the system. This allows increased options with very little or no physical change to the system.
