MD 40 Features
• The MD 40 features 32 cm of adjustable
proportional reception height with a variable
on-grade position point (Variable
set point). Increases the ease of setup
and allows for benching during grading
applications.
• Accuracy = ±2.5 mm is independent
of beam width and insures accurate
operating results.
• Capture angle is 360 degrees.
• Working diameter 750 m with standard ML
2/3/4 transmitters, 1000 m with the new
ML 3A & 1750 m with the ML 3/4VD.
• Use with all Mikrofyn automatic control
boxes (CB 1, CB 1A & CB 4).
• Works with all types of lasers.
• Totally water and dustproof (IP68).
• Rugged military connector with quick lock.
• Quick Clamp design is easy to install on
fi xed or telescoping mast and insures
the MD 40 is secure when mounted.
• Weighing only 3.2 kg the MD 40 is light
while being highly robust in design using
the same physical design as the MD 10.
• Physical measurements: 43 cm tall, 13
cm wide & 8.5 cm deep (23 cm including
bracket).
MD 10 Features:
• Proportional detection - “Highest possible
accuracy where you need it”.

of beam width.
• 360° capture range in 190 mm (8”)
window.
• Light and very robust design.
• Works with all types of lasers.
• Totally water- and
dustproof (IP68).
• Rugged MIL
connector with
quick lock
to CAN bus
interface.
• 7 channels
of grade
information.
How does the MD LaserReceiver™ work
The MD LaserReceiver™ System consists
of two primary components:
• A Rotation Laser, which transmitsa laser
beam with the desired inclination.
• A MD LaserReceiver™, which is mounted
on the machine.
Once the Rotation Laser is set up with the
desired slope, the MD LaserReceiver™ indicates
when the machine is On-Grade.
The receiver is typically mounted on a 50mm
cylindrical tube.
When working on an excavator, the receiver
is placed on the stick or bucket.
When working on a bulldozer, the receiver
is placed on the centre of the bulldozer
blade.
When working on a grader, a receiver is
placed on either one or both sides of the
grader blade.
In addition to the MD LaserReceiver™, an
IRlinked Remote Display RD1 or RD3 can
facilitate certain types of difficult jobs by
moving the display inside the operator’s cab.
An optional moveable IR-receiver ensures
that the communication between the
receiver and the remote display never is
obstructed.
Where to use the Machine Detector
With a MD LaserReceiver™ mounted on
an excavator, bulldozer, backhoe or grader,
one man can produce a level or inclined
grade without an assistant, and do the job
by day or night.
The MD LaserReceiver™ is ideal for anyone
doing site preparation work, rough or fine
grading, paving, excavating, trenching or preconstruction
surveying for cut and fill plans.
All of our MD LaserReceivers™ work with
any Rotating Laser.
Your benefits when using a MD Laser-
Receiver™ are:
• The MD LaserReceiver™ saves time as one
Rotation Laser, one MD LaserReceiver™
and one machine operator can make up
the entire levelling and grading team.
• The MD LaserReceiver™ eliminates the
unnecessary work represented by stakes,
string lines, checkers and re-work.
• Improves the operating accuracy of your
construction equipment.
