| | | Image processing for dimension and surface inspection Image processing solutions from Micro-Epsilon are integrated measurement systems for fully automated applications and have been conceived for the acquisition and inspection of dimensional quantities and surfaces. The modules from measurement technology, software and optics originate from the Micro-Epsilon group, enabling optimum component matching. Image processing systems vision4A is designed for the measurement of dimensional quantities and the detection of surfaces. Furthermore, vision4A can be used for the three-dimensional position detection in space in which the spatial position of objects is acquired with just one industrial camera. The modular concept of vision4A opens up a wide spectrum of applications in production automation and process control. The innovative inspection unit reflectCONTROL acquires surface structures with a camera and detects possible defects in the micrometer range. Here, an LCD screen projects geometrical patterns onto the measurement object, whose mirror image on the surface is acquired by the camera. Deviations from the project pattern are detected by the analysis software and evaluated. The measuring principle enables the inspection of complete parts, such as sprayed vehicle body parts, in only one measurement pass and with shiny and mirror surface finishes supplies extremely accurate measurement results. | | |
