Hexapod for Vacuum This system consists of a hexapod, alinear stage, and an additional tiltingplatform. This special arrangement waschosen to achieve a maximum of travelrange within the limited space of the highvacuum chamber in which this system isused. The application is the angle-dependant characterization ofsuperconducting high frequency detectors(far infrared, FIR) for astronomy. The travel range in x and y is +/- 180 mmwith angles of +/- 20°at any position.
