Tree Scanner This 2-axes scanner is used for themeasurement and analyzing of allcharacteristics of the tree population.The scanning of the trees is made on-site.Positioning system and laser work by theuse of accumulator batteries.The system provides a resolution of 0.0015°.A GPS System is integrated. The tree scanneris well-suited for the use on-site as it is veryimmune from interference. Sensor Positioning in the Climate Chamber The positioning of the test pieces is made byusing a 6-axes positioning system. The travelrange in XYZ is 50 mm, rotary 360°or 10°.The linear axes provide a resolution of more than 0.1 µm, the rotary axes more than 0.0015°.For this task only standard positioning componentshave been used.Control is effected by the use of a 6-axes positioningcontroller of the SMC series. The command is madeeither semi-automatically by industrial joystick or full-automatically by software.
