One click and the software recognizes the column-specific standard conditions such as standard eluents and flow, permissible maximum values for pressure and flow as well as the correct precolumn. This and additional data are automatically taken over by the method if you wish so. This means the data has not to be entered manually into the iColumns can store the following types of data: •Freely definable data, for example:– name of column – comment field, where, for example, the name of the application can be entered•Data that is linked with the column, for example:– column type (e.g. Metrosep A Supp 10 – 100) – order number – serial number – standard flow – standard eluent – standard injection volume – standard temperature – length x ID – particle size – pH range – maximum permissible pressure – maximum permissible flow•Data that is entered by the Professional IC systemand the MagIC Net™ software, for example: – operating hours – number of injections With the exception of the Metrosep Dual 2(6.1006.100) and the Metrosep Cation 1-2 (6.1010.000), all Metrosep separation columns are available as iColumns. Not available as iColumns are the remaining column types, that is precolumns, preconcentration and trap columns as well as those separation columns that do not carry the Metrosep designation. method. MagIC Net™ professional monitors the separation effi- ciency of the columns and professional switches the system off whenever the permissible pressure is exceeded. If the column performance drops below a predefined value, MagIC Net™ can even trigger an order for a new column by E-Mail.If the Metrosep separation column is used in diffe-rent systems, it transfers all its information to the next IC system.
