Metrosep A Supp 4 – 250 (6.1006.430)

The Metrosep A Supp 4 is an extremely robustcolumn with very good separation properties. The separation phase consists of polyvinyl alcohol particles with a diameter of 9 µm, which are functionalized with quaternary ammonium groups. This arrangement guarantees a high stability and great tolerance to very fine particles that could pass through the built- in filter plate. The Metrosep A Supp 4 has a medium ion exchange capacity; sulfate elutes after 12.5 min. The number of plates that can be achieved with this column is higher than with the Metrosep Dual 2 separation column. For 5 mg/L chloride and 10 mg/L sulfate, 5900 respectively 5800 theoretical plates have been determined. Metrosep A Supp 4 is parti- cularly suitable for all routine tasks in water analysis. Its universal applicability makes it into the standard column for the Compact Metrohm IC Systems 792 Basic IC, 761 Compact IC and 861 Advanced Compact IC.
