Metrosep Anion Dual 4 – 25 (6.1016.010)

The Metrosep Dual 4 columns are based on a newlydeveloped carrier material, namely a functionalized monolith based on silica gel. The monolith allows a flow rate of the eluent of up to 5 mL/min. The column is characterized by small back-pressure despite the high flow rate.In contrast to traditional materials the monolith has amuch larger surface due to its structure of macropores and mesopores. This results in a high capacity of the column and a very small dead volume.The only 25 mm long Metrosep Dual 4 column allowsthe separation of some standard anions in less than one minute. In this way nitrite and nitrate are separated in only 45 seconds. Ion chromatography is thus faster than many FIA systems (Flow Injection Analysis systems).The column may be used with or without chemicalsuppression. It is recommended to install the RP Trap Column (6.1014.100) between the pulsation absorber and the injection valve, if p-cyanophenol is used as an eluent.
