| Designed for applications where space is critical, Metalfab Model DB1M mini feeders provide dependable, highly accurate feeding of a wide variety of dry solid materials from an extremely small base, of only 12" x 16". Three ruggedly built models, with maximum feed rates of 1,3 and 8 cu. ft./hr. respectively provide accuracies of +1 to 2%, based on one minute samples. Maximum space saving is achieved by mounting the DC drive to the rear of the support frame, perpendicular to the feed. There are only three moving parts: the drive train, compound feed screw and a heavy duty timing belt which links them. Conventional metal bearings have been replaced with self-lubricating nylon sleeves which contain the rotating screw. With only 3 moving parts, little or no downtime will be required for repairs or replacement. A1 cu. ft. hopper with sharply sloped sides and large rectangular outlet, provides capacity for most purge conditions. The hopper is removable and can be replaced with up to a 6" diameter inlet trough cover. The unit can then be preceded by a Metalfab bin activator or Posibin. ■ M Dry Solids Processing Equipment P.O.
