The EM1N is a complete embedded single-board computer for use on any application-specific carrier board. It is designed in accordance with EN 50155 (-40 to +85°C operation temperature, no components on sockets, prepared for conformal coating etc.) The on-board FPGA can be used to add user-defined functions like graphics, fieldbusses,
further UARTs etc.

Custom VMEbus Industrial gateway for Safety Management in Driverless Subways
This double Eurocard board is used in a safety management system in driverless subways. It is an industrial communication device based on Ethernet and the WorldFIP (Factory Infor­mation Protocol) fieldbus standard.
The card is at the same time a carrier board for ESM™ Embedded system modules sup­porting in this configuration an ESM™ with MPC5200 or an ESM™ with MPC8540.
