| | | IBC CONTAINMENT TRANSFER SYSTEM | | |
| | | |
| | | General The Containment Transfer System (CTS) is part of the unique Matcontainer range of equipment for the processing, storage and distribution of solids. It enables the automatic contained transfer of materials from bulk storage and process vessels to Matcon IBCs without operator intervention to remove and replace lids. The automated filling system for IBCs and other vessels, reduces operator exposure level (OEL) from potentially dangerous materials. The CTS meets the ever increasing demands of containment throughout the filling process for Pharmaceutical, Food and Chemical industries. The CTS is engineered to provide the highest standards for hygiene, safety requirements, ease of cleaning and maintenance. | | |

| | | Operation The CTS is fully automated. It is controlled by a programmable logic controller or interlocked with a Matcon controller with local operator interface panel. With an IBC placed under the unit and the controls initiated the IBC lifts or the CTS lowers to dock the CTS outlet (alpha) with the container inlet (beta). When confirmation of docking is made the CTS opens the IBC lid making ready for product transfer. When filling is complete an air wash cleaning routine automatically takes place, the lid is automatically replaced and the CTS is separated from the IBC. Cleaning The unit is available with a Clean In Place option which includes water wash nozzles. It is de-mountable from any feed system and is designed for easy maintenance or cleaning off place. | | |
