APPLICATIONS TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Mapesil LM is used for:• sealing natural stone (marble, granite, etc.);• sealing all materials sensitive to acid (mirrors, etc.) andwhere neutral cross-linking is required. Praticallyodourless;• sealing expansion joints with 25% maximumexpansion of the initial size. Mapesil LM is a one-component, solvent-free andodourless
silicone sealant with neutral cross-linking.Prepared as a thixotropic paste, it is easily applied ontoboth horizontal and vertical surfaces, cross-linking atambient temperatures to form a flexible product.The seals obtained with Mapesil LM remain unchangedeven after many years of exposure to climatic extremes,
industrial pollution, sudden temperature changes andimmersion in water; they remain flexible down to atemperature of -40°C and can resist temperatures up to
+150°C.The resistance of Mapesil LM to chemical agents isgenerally good; however, due to the numerous productsand working conditions to which Some application examples Mapesil LM can beapplied, it is always advisable to make a preliminary testin cases of doubt. • sealing natural stone façades and coverings;• sealing expansion joints in prefabricated panels usedfor residential and industrial buildings;• sealing concrete elements, light-weight concrete;• sealing metals and PVC;
• sealing glass and windows to aluminium, wood, PVCframes;• sealing polycarbonate, acrylate, ABS;• sealing air lines and heating pipes, cable conduits,water pipes, etc.;• sealing gaskets in general;• odourless
adhesive sealant for general use. Mapesil LM will adhere perfectly to most surfaces usedin building without needing a primer (glass, ceramic,
marble, aluminum, zinc sheet, concrete, stainless steel,PVC).In cases of prolonged water immersion Primer FD mustbe applied first.
