Text version of the page
2 GMK6350 features Grove GMK cranes incorporate a truly independent suspension system known as MEGATRAK™ which allows all wheels to remain on the ground at all times so that stresses and weights are not continually transferred between axles. Controlled from the cab, the suspension can be raised or lowered (front-toback and side-to-side) or automatically levelled for highway travel. While the operator is concentrating on the lift, ECOS (Electronic Crane Operating System) is busy monitoring and controlling all of the principle crane functions and providing exact telescoping status on its fully graphic in cab display. Monitoring the lifting condition of the crane at all times, EKS4 works together with, but independently of the ECOS as a complete command and control system, or separately as a load moment indicator. Continually running fault analysis, the system advises service codes which can be transmitted to any Grove service center, allowing fast accurate investigation and recommendation. The proven “U” shaped MEGAFORM™ boom design provides a natural cradling position for boom sections which eliminates stiffeners-thus reducing weight and increasing capacity. Large wear pads provide superior boom alignment when telescoping and allows an excellent transition of weights between sections. The unique TWIN-LOCK™ boom pinning system automatically pins the sections in position using two horizontal large diameter pins, which increases security. A single telescope cylinder inside the boom reduces weight which has been used elsewhere to strengthen the machine.
