Product description
LEO-Pipe®
Leak Monitoring for Pipelines
LEO-Pipe® is a model-based system for detecting and locating leaks in liquid and gas pipelines. A maximum in safety and availability of the equipment is obtained by using an exact pipeline simulation model.
LEO-Pipe® provides continuous leak monitoring of liquid and gas pipelines. Modern mathematical methods allow leak detection and location during steady and non-steady flow conditions. LEO-Pipe® provides complete performance even during raising and lowering procedures of the pipeline. In addition, leak monitoring is also available during standstill of the pipeline.
Using an accurate real time simulation model as well as an exact parameterisation of pipeline and media, LEO-Pipe® realises both, maximum sensitivity and minimum false alarms, respectively. An optimal leak location accuracy is achieved for each pipeline operation mode by combining different leak location methods.
As only standard measurement systems of pipelines are required, LEO-Pipe® can easily be upgraded. A minimum instrumentation for the measurement of flow, pressure and temperature at the beginning and the end of the pipeline is sufficient.
Due to its batch tracking function LEO-Pipe® monitors a pipeline in single and multi batch operation mode. A line packing and dynamic line inventory function is implemented as well, providing the pipeline operator with detailed information extracted from the actual pipeline state and its history. A graphical user interface serves to visualise the pipeline state as well as for data input.
In addition, LEO-Pipe® supplies an extensive training and pipeline management system. A batch scheduling system and a look ahead predictive model are both based on an offline pipeline model. These tools allow efficient long term forecasts and an optimum planning of future pipeline scenarios, with explicit consideration of user defined cost and time limits.
