Where fire fighting is less frequent or intensive, or for private sector applications as opposed to public sector work, Saracen offers an affordable alternative to Viking without any performance penalty.

Macron's Saracen hose, like Viking hose, is a high quality product, constructed in the same layered way from the same materials, though without the heavy protective ribbing used on Viking. This means that less nitrile-PVC rubber is used, making Saracen somewhat lighter.

All types are available including Standard Industrial, British Instantaneous, German Storz, Dutch Storz, American NSFHT, French Guillemin, or Symmetrique. All couplings can be supplied in either light alloy or gunmetal.

Saracen fire hoses are manufactured in accordance with BS 6391:Type 3 1983.
